Request for Teachers to Upload Files... along with some other goodies!

Hi All,

I had such a blast with you all last week.  I'm really looking forward to being a part of this blog this year, and sharing some great ideas.

Some housekeeping:

Will somebody please take the time to upload the songs, rods videos, etc. from last week?  Many of you said you would, and I would be so ever grateful, as a non-i-phoned, to have this resource.  In return, I'd be happy to share some of my goodies too! :)

Where do you get the Fox Boy Stories I've been hearing so much about?  And, how do you apply them to your math blocks?

Timeline:
I'm wanting to match up my stories with relevant dates and times of the year.  Below is a work in progress list of some of the stories I'll be telling and when I'll be telling them.  If you have any other additions to the list, please post!

Michaelmas- Joan of Ark, Sir George and the Dragon
October 4th- Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi
Lantern Walk- St. Martin
St. Elizabeth- Thanksgiving
Advent- St. Nicholas, Sta. Lucia, Legends of Quan Yin (Tara)
January 20th- Kwanzaa
February 2nd- Groundhog Day, St. Bridget. (Candlemas)
Spring- Canticle of the Sun
Mother's Day- Amma
Father's Day- Dalai Lama

I have an awesome Pinterest page.  Follow me!  (Kevin Barnum)

Virtues Project:
Great idea for classroom community building.  The virtues project has a list of virtues, and we'll select one for each week that we'll discuss on Monday.  Throughout the week when I notice that a virtue is being modeled I will give a star or a golden heart to the child with the virtue written on it for them to take home.  At the end of the week, we will take a short period to honor a member of our school community, be it a janitor, administrator, etc. and make them a nice card and provide them with a snack basket.  This will be my attempt this year to build a sweet classroom community!

Resources from Teachers:
Katherine, Edmund and Kim all said they would post resources for us, but there is very little on the AOT Handouts and Materials page.  What's up with that?  Anybody have any scoop?

Pictures from MLBs:
I took pictures from all of the MLB's.  I haven't uploaded them to my computer yet, as I haven't been home due to fires in my area.  If you would like these photos, please e-mail me and I'll send them to you when I am able.  each1teach123@gmail.com

  1. Nichole gave me a doc for the songs - I'll see if I can make a post of it now.
