Rope Trick - How to!

We've been doing this for circle once a week. The children have NOT been able to figure it out. I gave them a hint that it has to do with your hands. I finally had to look up the solution. I'll give them the next hint next week.

We've also been jump roping once a week and doing hula hoop once a week - great exercise - and outside!

Painting verse

Aaron did a remix on Marianne's painting verse - very 4th grade!

Marianne's Painting Verse:

Colors shine around us from earth and sea and sky.
Deep or light, pale or bright, they show God's glory and Earth's might.

My verse:

Colors shine around us from earth and sea and sky
In autumn leaf and coral reef and peacock feather's eye.
Colors shine within and art will bring them to our sight,
so we may share with all the world this miracle of light.

Steiner's Six Basic Exercises

Many of us went to Monica's talk tonight on Deepening your Inner Work.  As we know it is a big part of being a Waldorf teacher and for many of us it can be a struggle.  I was going to take one way to cultivate your inner life, which is the 6 basic exercises, and write up my notes on it to share but found Brian Gray has created a fantastic video on it.

Okay, I managed to  "stop talking" and 'just start' --which is the advise I give to my own children and my students. Reports begun, and I'm happy with them so far.

Here's hoping you are all well, and well on your way to finishing End of Year Reports.

Much Love~
